Built on our word, since 2007.
A commercial general contractor in McAllen, Texas, building the hospitals, schools, clinics, and public buildings the Rio Grande Valley counts on.
A way of working that hasn't changed in almost two decades.
Holchemont opened in McAllen in 2007 with a straightforward way of working: put one person in charge of your project and keep them there, from the first drawing to the final walk. Almost twenty years later, that hasn't changed.
We build commercial projects across the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas. Hospitals and clinics. Schools and district facilities. City and county buildings, recreation centers, banks, and retail. The work has gotten bigger over the years. The way we run it has not.
Big enough to take on challenging projects. Small enough to give every client the individual attention that makes the difference.
That balance is the whole point. We are large enough to staff and schedule a complex build, and small enough that the person who shook your hand is the same person answering your call six months in. Reliable, professional, experienced. Our word is our bond.

The standards behind the work.
These aren't lines for a wall plaque. They're how a job gets run when no one is watching.
One point of contact
One project manager owns your job from preconstruction through closeout. No handoffs, no finger-pointing, one number to call.
On time and on budget
We build the schedule and the budget with you up front, then hold to them. Surprises are something we plan out, not explain away.
Quality our name can sit on
Our name goes on the building. Every detail has to hold up to the standard we are comfortable putting it on.
Fair to the trades
Good subcontractors are how a job gets built right. We run a fair process and keep the best crews coming back, project after project.
Credentials that mean something on a public project.
Holchemont is a member of the Associated General Contractors of America and a certified Texas Historically Underutilized Business. For school districts, hospitals, and municipalities, that means a contractor who meets the bar their projects are held to.
